I am a scuba diver & a person that believes we need to protect our marine environment.

This video, interviews & whats distributing is the satellite photos.

This is a BBC Video Report

The YouTube video that you witnessed was for

265 vessels

in a small area between a marine park from the Galapagos Islands & the exclusions zone of the Educadoran Government, their exclusive Zone!

How many white spots? Yes, its actually a cloud…It's visible from space…

But, by all respects, there are in international waters but as you can see they have set themselves in such a fashion to capture all marine life that would travel through this area.

Think about it, 265 vessels set across a line in one patch of a beautiful ocean. Longline fishing, nets and (this is speculation) other fishing activities. Any marine species travelling through that is trapped, taken on board, assessed and by that time if needed kept or if not, thrown back overboard. Chances are the species is dead. We have no way of knowing whether it was a dolphin, trapped with tuna, a whale shark trapped with krill or a one-hundred-year-old turtle making its way back to a nesting area on the Galapagos Islands, stuck in their nets.

So many scenarios for escape & capture from a marine mammal…

I just saw another report of a smaller fleet just over 300 vessels capturing squid in the South Korean fishing areas. Reports state they lite up the same intensity as a sporting stadium at night… Can you imagine that?

When will this stop? We can we say our raping our oceans, our decimating of marine areas, is to be justified. ( Yes it may be necessary for their society but what is the consumption amount? How much is actually discarded?).

If fishing is to take place it needs to be in areas where spawning grounds are left protected to replenish stocks.

Australia needs to take a stand as our grounds will be next!
